My first layout of 2017. I have been battling a yucky virus and watching many hours of scrapbooking videos on youtube. The evening I was feeling well enough to play with my supplies. I love this photo I captured in mid Dec. of the light coming through the door and creating amazing shadows. CASE FILE 365
I really love the soft colors, the slightly retro feel of the water color image. Makes me want to print and scrap all those fall photos! The list of "evidence" was so very helpful in choosing my accessories. I posted the kit I made in this post. Then my first 4 pages here.
Here are the rest of the layouts I created with this kit. 12 total layouts, I only had 2 full sheets of paper left and 2 half sheets. I used up a few packages of embellishments but have plenty left to put away. I played with my kit for 2 months and it was super fun. We R Memory Keepers had a tutorial for an adorable banner on their blog. This is my patriotic Twist on it. I have the banner punch board so I used it for the banner pieces. I used this tutorial to make the pinwheels. The circles I cut with my good old coluzzle templates and knife.

I have not done a counterfeit kit challenge for a long time. But with summer here I want to scrap and use up some of my supplies. This months challenge was to pick one of Basic Grey's new lines and create a kit based on it. I chose the Barista Line. Love the freshness of it. Here is what it looks like.

I used a cute file by Samantha Walker Designs and My Silhouette Cameo.
This is how it turned out - pretty adorable.
The pattern papers are from an older Cricut paper pad. The acetate sheet is from product packaging and there are little gems in the center of the snowflakes that I purchased at Hobby Lobby.

This year I have decided to make an eclectic mix of cards rather than the same card multiple times. I have so many ideas saved on my Christmas Card Pinterest board that I want to give a try. I am going to be doing themes for each week - this week is snowmen. I have 8 snowmen cards pinned to be inspired by.

One of my goals for this year is to make and ship cards to OWH - this is a great organization that provides cards to deployed soldiers so they can send them to their loved ones with personal notes.
The Disney cards below I made using the sketch from this week on the OWH blog.

March CKC Layouts
One of the Mini challenges at the Counterfeit kit challenge blog was to scraplift yourself. You could do this either by using one of your own layouts as inspiration or by redoing an old layout. I chose the second option. I made the following page about 11 years ago when I first began scrapbooking. Very much Creative Memories style. I have always loved these photos of my Dawnreehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03659939289490396468noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17602431.post-69965427459316248042011-03-10T15:41:00.004-07:002015-08-11T11:10:13.893-06:00March Kit - Layout #1
These are photos from last spring. My youngest daughter having a tea party with her dollies. The title reads "Dolly and me Tea" but the y is hard to see in the photo. I used things from both the main kit and the add-on. The Roses are cut from the AMerican Craft Dear Lizzy paper and the little blue dots are punched from the same pattern paper. March Counterfeit Kit
There is a great new blog that challenges us to create scrapbook kits from our stashes using current for sale kits as inspiration. I played along in January and am doing it again this month. I love how it gets me to combine items I might not and then I actually use them! I have made 4 layouts from the Jan kit I made and still have things left in the kit to make more.

My house it engulfed with a frenzy of writing this month. My Dh and my children are busy participating in National Novel writers Month. They are so excited as their word count grows and their stories come to life. I on the other hand am content to hear about their stories, encourage them and read their offerings. Why ? because I am afraid.
So there it is. I am afraid to Dawnreehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03659939289490396468noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17602431.post-72002272187033799402010-10-11T13:44:00.002-06:002014-05-24T23:36:13.140-06:00I have been hanging out at a new scrap board - Inspired to scrap.

Tonight I am so grateful to my savior who has reached down and grabbed my girls heart. She was fretful and upset over things that had happened today. We talked a bit about them and I sent her to bathe. After her bath she came to me questioning me about sin and then as I brushed her hair she said " I asked Jesus into my heart tonight before my bath" Oh man I can notDawnreehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03659939289490396468noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17602431.post-20787220980780704652010-04-20T15:20:00.009-06:002010-07-06T10:51:48.559-06:00Spring to Finish.I did not meet this goal by 5/31 but I am still working on it!
